Pera: Dr. Barham Salih will be
next KRG Premier
A member of the Politburo of the Patriotic Union of
Kurdistan Saadi Ahmed Pera in a statement to “Sawa
Radio” said that the strategic agreement between the
Patriotic Union of Kurdistan and the Kurdistan
Democratic Party provides for the rotation of both
parties in heading the government and the parliament
presidencies

Barzinji: Maliki will
discuss Kirkuk and Article 140 issues in his visit
Deputy Chairman of Kurdistan Alliance
Bloc in the Iraqi Parliament Saadi Barzinji in a statement
to al-Hayat newspaper said that al-Maliki’s visit to
Kurdistan Region will set new bases for new round of talks
about the outstanding issues between Baghdad and Erbil.
Barzinji clarified that the key issues of al-Maliki’s
meetings with the Kurdish officials are Kirkuk and Article
140 of the Iraqi Constitution regarding the normalizations
of situation in Kirkuk and the disputed areas in addition to
the oil-gas issue.

US and Kurdish women’s rights NGOs launch gender equality
legal training
Erbil,
Kurdistan-Iraq - Global Justice Center, a New York-based
legal NGO, has launched a legal training course in Erbil in
cooperation with Kurdish Women’s Rights Watch. The course
will inform participants how to enhance the rights of women
through the alignment of local laws with international
standards
